New Melbourne Branch Manager
Announcing the appointment of our new Melbourne Branch Manager, Mr Ian Bowden. Ian comes to HTA from a long background of heat treating experience in the UK.
Quality continues to be our focus at all HTA branches!!
QLD Queensland Head office is looking at upgrading its quality approvals to the aerospace standard ISO9100 this will allow us to treat more sophisticated aerospace components for military and international markets
NSW The Sydney branch has its ISO9001:2000 external audit in December 2007. We are expecting full accreditation soon after.
VIC Our Melbourne branch has been working hard to incorporate new quality and operational procedures for the transition to ISO9001:2000 accreditation. We envisage full accreditation in the early part of 2008.
Melbourne Site Acquires New Furnace
Heat Treatment Australia (VIC) are pleased to announce the purchase of an ageing furnace for installation at its Victorian branch in Melbourne.The furnace has a maximum operating temperature of 250 C and working dimensions of 2M L X 1.1 H x 1.1 W .This will add to the already large aluminum processing capacity of the site.The furnace should be on line before the end of the year. Queensland Site Ready for Vacuum Brazer
HTA are awaiting delivery of its Vacuum Aluminum Brazing furnace.The furnace will be the first of its kind in Australia and work has been continuing to get the site ready for the insulation of this new furnace. Aerospace parts can be processed through this furnace as well as other general parts.The furnace will initially go through extensive trialing and testing and is scheduled for production work in the second quarter of 2008.Please contact our Aviation and aerospace manager Jon O'Donnell for further details.

Our new Vac Curburizer is on track!!
Good News!! The manufacturers of HTA's new Vacuum Carburizer have advised that the equipment is on schedule and will be up and running at our Brisbane plant by early 2008.
New Sydney Sales Rep
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Cumming as our dedicated Sydney branch Sales Representative. Gary comes to HTA from a long and distinguished career with Bohler and has a wealth of experience in steels and material selection. The existing sales rep, David Faglioni, will soon be relocating to Brisbane to take up the sales rep role in the Sunshine State. We wish Gary and David the best of luck with their new positions at HTA.

New sealed quench furnace due to come online in Brisbane in August 2006 bringing the total of seal quench furnaces at the Brisbane plant to 4. The new plant has increase processing capabilities include carbon disassociation and improved time and temperature control.

Recent extensions to our Brisbane Plant are now complete.
Over the last two years we have significantly added to the size of our facility including factory space for our new sealed quench facility, a new despatch area, new manufacturing facility and expended car parking area and new gardens.
