Maintenance / Electrical Personnel
Purpose:
- To assist maintenance supervisor (MS) to ensure the efficient
and effective running of the factory furnaces and operational
equipment
- To assist MS to manufacture new heat treatment furnaces
- To continually improve and modify existing furnace configuration
to bring about improvements in efficiency and lower risks associated
with each process to employee health and safety
- To record all maintenance to plant using the software available
as part of the companies quality management system under ISO 9001:2000
Requirements for position:
- EXPERIENCE IN MAINTENANCE / ELECTRICAL AT HEAT TREATMENT PLANTS
- ABLE TO WORK AN AFTERNOON OR NIGHT SHIFT PATTERN AS REQUIRED
- BE OF GOOD CHARACTER AND BE IN GOOD HEALTH TO ENABLE AN AUSTRALIAN
WORKING VISA TO BE ISSUED – WE ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM
INTERNATIONAL WORKERS AND WILL ASSIST WITH THE VISA PROCESS IF
REQUIRED.
Responsibilities:
- The maintenance personnel (MP) has the responsibility to carry
out duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintaining furnaces and operational equipment as required
by the preventative maintenance program
- Compile maintenance records for each piece of equipment using
the software package available and periodically report any trends
these reports may identify
- Assist MS to manufacture new furnaces and upgrade/modify furnaces
as required
- Conduct repairs to furnaces and operational equipment as required
- Using technical expertise to implement design changes in conjunction
with the Managing Director to improve efficiency on plant and
as part of the companies overall continuos improvement policy
- To communicate with sub contract staff and supervise their
working. Ensure correct health and safety measures are carried
out by sub contact staff in conjunction with the health and safety
representative
- To communicate with part suppliers in conjunction with the
purchasing officer to achieve a competitive price on bought components
and on time delivery
- To conduct all repair/ modification work in accordance with
state and commonwealth legislations and acts
- To have a positive attitude to further training and licensing
as state and commonwealth working legislation changes dictate
- Contribute to the companies continuous improvement policy
- Work in professional manner in keeping with the position criteria
and the companies national profile
- To work within the companies policies and procedures were applicable
Mechanical Maintenance
- Repair jigs furnace components and futures and fitting using
mechanical engineering principals. Utilise welding equipment,
cutting and turning operations to facilitate repairs and create
new jigs and fixtures
- Using mechanical engineering principals assist maintenance supervisor
to fabricate new furnaces as required
- General fixing ,securing and repair to the factory premises
and its general fixtures and fittings
- Pneumatic and hydraulic system maintenance and installation
- Electrical Maintenance
- General fault finding on electrical machines and cabling
- Control panel building
- Testing and tagging of electrical appliances around the factory
- Plc programming wiring and commissioning
- Run cabling to suit furnace / equipment requirements
- Power point and switch installation and repair as required
- Fully licensed to carry out such work as required by each individual
state
Remuneration
A good starting salary can be expected in line with the duties
and responsibilities untaken. The company will also pays compulsory
superannuation (pension) contributions of 9% as part of the regular
salary. Payments are made weekly by electronic transfer to your
nominated bank. Other benefits such as bonuses and rewards are
discussed on an individual basis depending upon the position.
