Labourer / Factory hand

Factory Hand positions exist at our Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne branches.

The hours of work will be: -

Afternoon Shift
Mon-Thurs 1.30 pm- 10.00 pm
Friday 11.30 am- 6.00 pm
Day Shift
Mon-Thurs 5.30 am- 2.00 pm
Friday 5.30 am- 12.00 pm
Night Shift
Mon-Thurs 9.30 - 6.00 am
Sunday 11.30 pm – 6.00 am

Additional overtime hours may be required depending upon workload.
Factory hands work as directed by supervisors and leading hands, however general position responsibilities include:

Loading and unloading furnace & furnace baskets

General cleaning and maintenance throughout the workshop

Process & upgrade paperwork as required
Set furnace programs and perform tests
Carries out duties as directed by the supervisors
Completes worksheet after treatment process

The applicant is required to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other workshop personnel, supervisors & leading hands.
Requirements for position

FORKLIFT LICENSE PREFERRED
MECHANICAL OR TOOL MAKING EXPERIENCE AN ADVANTAGE
ABLE TO WORK NIGHT AND AFTERNOON SHIFTS AS REQUIRED

Remuneration
A starting salary of between $16.00 to $18.00 can be expected in line with the applicants existing skills and experience. The company will also pays compulsory superannuation (pension) contributions of 9% as part of the regular salary. Payments are made weekly by electronic transfer to your nominated bank. Other benefits such as bonuses and rewards are discussed on an individual basis depending upon the position.
